Alright, I’m going to start this page off with assuming you are a brand new player to Eve Online in your nifty little Alpha Clone. What’s the difference between an Alpha clone and an Omega clone, you ask? Well, Alpha clones do not have to pay a subscription fee or use a PLEX (Pilot License) to login to the game and play. They are limited in a number of areas, specifically, they train at around half the speed of an Omega clone, and are limited on what skills they can use. Specifically, you can fly Cruiser class vessels and below (Cruiser, Destroyer, and Frigate) for your specific race (Caldari, Amarr, Minmitar, and Gallente). Whereas Omega clones have none of these restrictions. They can learn the skills for any ship they want to fly at a normal speed for any race.

Now, let us go over a few tools that will make your life quite a bit easier.

First and foremost is one of the most widely used tools throughout all of New Eden, Evemon. Evemon, in short, is a character monitoring and planning tool that can help you keep an eye on your character and decide best how to optimize him/her for the areas of Eve you partake in. See a ship that you absolutely want to get into? You can setup the fastest route possible in Evemon. This will allow you to optimize your attributes (Perception, willpower, intelligence, memory, and charisma) towards the fastest possible train time. It’s also handy for managing the training que of a single, or multiple, pilots.

In addition, you can check your assets, mail, wallet, and transactions journal from the application. If you’re looking for a well-rounded tool with tons of useful features for the budding and veteran pilot alike, look no further.

Evemon is a free application designed and developed by another pilot in New Eden. If you’re interested in checking it out, click the blue Evemon button below to visit their Github page and download it.
